Data Protection and DPF

About Calibrum Data Privacy Framework Program (DPF) Compliance

What is the "Data Privacy Framework Program (DPF)"? The EU-U.S. DPF, UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and Swiss-U.S. DPF were respectively developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission, UK Government, and Swiss Federal Administration to provide U.S. organizations with reliable mechanisms for personal data transfers to the United States from the European Union, United Kingdom, and Switzerland while ensuring data protection that is consistent with EU, UK, and Swiss law.

Calibrum is DPF-compliant and provides technology that enables our customers to be DPF-compliant also. This support page discusses how users can manage data subject requests using the Calibrum platform, in particular focusing on how a user can modify and delete data.

Calibrum is officially DPF-certified through the U.S. Department of Commerce with certifications covering the following frameworks:
  • EU-U.S. DPF
  • UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF
  • Swiss-U.S. DPF

While Calibrum provides technology that enables our customers to be DPF-compliant, Calibrum customers should seek their own legal advice as to how to comply with DPF. If you have additional questions about DPF compliance, please reach out to your Customer Success Representative or contact Calibrum Support.

Data Modification

A survey response cannot be edited by other than the respondent the response belongs to.

Deleting Data by Email Address

A Survey Administrator can use an email address to remove all survey responses, contacts, contact lists, user accounts, and tickets linked to this same email address. If respondents want you to delete all of their data, it is best to contact your Survey Administrator with a list of email addresses and have them follow the instructions in this section.

Data Deletion: Survey Platform

This section details how a standard user can delete individual data points. You may delete:

  • The entire survey response, multiple responses, or all responses
  • The entire survey (including all related data)
  • A contact, multiple contacts, the entire contact list, or multiple contact lists
  • Admin data

You can delete all information connected to a respondent in one place. Once you delete a participant, you delete:

  • Their response in every project
  • Their metadata
  • All their reports and dashboard data
  • The participant’s account

Backup & Data Retention

This section pertains to data in the Services, not Calibrum internal company retention procedures. All respondent data are backed up by Calibrum using daily complete off-site encrypted backups. However, customers are responsible for routine back-up of their data in case of accidental deletion/modification caused by one of their users, and for their own archive/data retention policies. Calibrum backups data for disaster recovery purposes only. It is the customer’s responsibility to enforce any required retention periods that apply to their data.
